Are your New Year’s resolutions feeling like a lifetime ago? Or are you feeling like you’ve hit a plateau recently? Then Spring is the perfect time to get back on top of your goals!
From Spring cleaning and sorting through your wardrobe to organizing your pantry and getting rid of some of the unhealthy winter habits that you might have fallen into, Spring is the perfect time for a fresh start.
Don’t be too hard on yourself, ladies; with so much information out there and sometimes conflicting messages, it can be challenging to set yourself a clear goal and follow it.
Remember, not every method will work for everyone, but if you’re looking to shape up this Spring, read on for our eight simple tips to tackle your goals!
What’s your why?
Wanting to get in shape doesn’t always mean losing weight. Sometimes you want to feel better about yourself, have more energy, or you have a goal in mind, like an event or a marathon.
Knowing your why will help you to power through when things are tough, push through a grueling workout and give you the willpower to say ‘no thanks’ to take out.
Try to be active every day
This doesn’t mean forcing an intense HIIT exercise into your lunch break every day but instead finding activities that will help you find some joy in being active every day. Whether that means going for a walk through your favorite park, kicking off the day with a spin class or dancing in the kitchen whilst you cook dinner.

Eat real food
Instead of counting calories and trying to deny yourself, fuel your body with whole, nutritious, fresh food instead. Eat lots of fruit, vegetables, whole grains, and tasty proteins. Treat your body well, and it’ll repay you.

Think of your healthy habits as self-care – not a punishment
Like finding your reason or your why, when we’re doing something for a positive reason, like feeling good about ourselves and creating a positive mindset around the goal, we’re much more likely to succeed. When we want to lose weight (or tackle any goal) because we feel bad about ourselves and treat it like a punishment, it’s much less likely to be successful.
So, find ways to exercise and move your body, eat nutritious, good-for-you meals and snacks that feel like you’re treating yourself to self-care. Because our health is a gift, something that makes us feel happy and able to do the other things in life that we want, right?
Don’t skip that beauty sleep
Believe us, and we know this is easier said than done, ladies! In our busy, hectic lives, we’re often stealing from the time we should be asleep to get more done in our days. But getting enough rest should absolutely be a priority.

Stay hydrated
Staying hydrated and drinking more water is one of the simplest ways to boost your health! Not only does good hydration support your digestion, but it also refuels your body for workouts, boosts your energy levels and nourishes your skin!
Keep a bottle of water close and drink your way through it. Aim for eight glasses of water a day.
